Rev. George Faragi
Rev George is a graduate of Logos Bible Seminary in San Diego, California. He is licensed and ordained through our covering church, Abundant Life Christian Centre of Margate, Florida. He had a church in Boca Raton Fl for 27 years and he, alongside his wife Janet, served 12 years of ministry at Abundant Life Worship Center in Nutley, N.J., (formerly Nutley Assembly of God), as associate pastors.
Rev George has a true shepherd’s heart. He has a genuine desire to mend broken hearts, strengthen the downcast, and encourage the discouraged. Perhaps all this stems from personal tragedies in his life. Before Rev George came to the Lord, he encountered a series of trials in his life, with the loss of his 23-year-old brother and years later, his 37-year-old brother; both ultimately caused by drug addiction. George searched for the significance of his life while dabbling in the things of this world, trying to fill the void that he now knows only Jesus could satisfy. Pastor George turned his life over to God and what the devil deemed for evil God used to his glory. Rev George has served the community as a drug rehabilitation counselor and has even hosted a Christian 12 step program through the church.
People are often drawn to his down-to-earth, “tell it like it is” personality. Because of his past, people find it effortless to relate to him. He identifies with the pain of loss and the trials of this world. He has “walked the walk” in a manner of speaking. His straightforward preaching has inspired people to have a personal relationship with the Lord.
On June 10, 2104 Rev George and Janet lost their 35 year old daughter to a battle of cancer since she was 14 years old. They certainly can relate to hurting people. They are not novice in the adversity of life and ministry.
